Individuals sentenced in Circuit Court

ESCANABA — The following individuals were recently sentenced in Delta County Circuit Court on unrelated charges.

Melissa Ann Germain, 37, of 802 Delta Ave., Apt. 2, Gladstone, pleaded guilty to a count of controlled substance — delivery/manufacture — meth and a count of controlled substance — possession of meth/ecstasy. She received concurrent sentences of a minimum of 30 months and a maximum of 20 years in prison on the first count and a minimum of 11 months and a maximum of 10 years in prison on the second, and was given credit for 112 days served. Germain was ordered to pay $326 in fines and costs.

Leonard Jordan Eagle, 24, of 211 S. 16th St., Escanaba, pleaded guilty to a count of controlled substance — delivery/manufacture — meth and a count of police officer — assaulting/resisting/obstructing. He was sentenced to a minimum of four years, three months and a maximum of 20 years in prison on the first count and 168 days jail on the second count, and was given credit for 168 days served. Eagle was ordered to pay $266 in fines and costs.

Samuel Joseph Shalifoe, 46, of 5046 17th Rd., Escanaba, pleaded guilty to a count of child support — failing to pay. He was sentenced to nine months jail and given credit for 110 days served. Shalifoe was placed on probation for 60 months; the remainder of his sentence is held in abeyance with the court pending successful completion of probation. He was ordered to pay $2,613.45 in fines and costs and $22,976.17 in restitution.

Cory Laurent Seabrook, 29, of 101 Crusader Ave., Gwinn, pleaded guilty to a count of police officer — assaulting/resisting/obstructing causing injury. He was sentenced to 12 months jail and given credit for 56 days served. Seabrook was placed on probation for 24 months; he will serve the first six months of his jail sentence with credit for days served, and the remainder is held in abeyance with the court pending successful completion of probation. He was ordered to pay $908 in fines and costs.

Dennis Nathan Sabo, 41, of 9076 O.5 Road, Gladstone, pleaded guilty to a count of operating — impaired, third offense. He was sentenced to 10 months jail and given credit for 159 days served. Sabo was placed on probation for 12 months. His driver’s license was revoked, and he was ordered to pay $908 in fines and costs.

Michael James Christensen, 41, of 809 2nd Ave. S., Escanaba, pleaded guilty to a count of controlled substance — possession/analogues. He was sentenced to six months jail and given credit for 125 days served. Christensen was placed on probation for 36 months; the balance of his jail time will be held in abeyance by the court pending successful completion of sobriety/drug court. His driver’s license was suspended for 30 days and restricted for 150 days, and he was ordered to pay $908 in fines and costs.
