ESCANABA – Holy Name Catholic School is seeking community volunteers to assist with a summer safety renovation project at the school campus.
Thanks to local Knights of Columbus members along with grant funding and generous donations from supporters of Holy Name, upgrades are being made to improve safe access to the locker room areas from the school’s Charlie Cretens Gymnasium. The project will help enhance safety and accessibility for students, athletes, and visitors for years to come.
The local Knights of Columbus have generously volunteered their expertise, labor, and countless man hours to help complete the renovation. Holy Name Catholic School and the Knights are now inviting additional community participation to help bring the project across the finish line.
Individuals with experience in the trades, construction, carpentry, electrical work, painting, or general handyman skills are especially encouraged to volunteer. Community members who simply have extra time and a willingness to lend a hand are also warmly welcomed.
“We are incredibly grateful for the leadership and generosity of the Knights of Columbus and all those whose donations of time and funding are making this project possible,” Jane Arts, HNCS Director of Advancement, said. “Together, we can continue building a safer and stronger future for Holy Name students.”
