ESCANABA — The following individuals were recently sentenced in Delta County Circuit Court in unrelated cases.

Angela Marie Suiter, 34, of 1824 9th Ave. S., Escanaba, pleaded guilty to a count of controlled substance — possession of meth/ecstasy and a count of jails — furnishing contraband to prisoners. She was sentenced to a minimum of two years and a maximum of 10 years in prison for the first count and a minimum of 17 months and a maximum of five years in prison for the second count; the sentences will be served concurrently. Suiter was given credit for 123 days served and was ordered to pay $266 in fines and costs.

Vernon Larry Thunder, Jr., 39, of N15022 Ridge Road, Wilson, Mich., pleaded guilty to a count of operating while intoxicated — third. He was sentenced to a minimum of one year, two months and a maximum of five years in prison, and was given credit for 13 days served. Thunder was ordered to pay $758 in fines and costs.

Tina Marie Viau, 39, of 216 S. 17th St., Escanaba, pleaded guilty to a count of habitual offender — second offense notice with an underlying offense of controlled substance — possession/analogues. She was sentenced to two months jail and given credit for nine days served. Viau was placed on probation for 12 months. Her driver license was suspended for 30 days and restricted for 150 days, and she was ordered to pay $1,028 in fines and costs.

Nicole Marie Meyers, 33, care of W524 Deer Pass Lane, Wilson, Mich., pleaded guilty to a count of probation violation with an underlying offense of attempted controlled substance — delivery/manufacture (Schedules 1, 2 and 3 except marijuana, meth, ecstasy and cocaine). She was sentenced to 153 days jail and given credit for 153 days served. Her probation was revoked, and all previously imposed fines, costs and attorney fees were still due and owing.

Misty Doreen Beaver, 38, of 506 S. 10th St., Escanaba, pleaded guilty to a count of controlled substance — delivery/manufacture (Schedules 1, 2 and 3 except marijuana, meth, ecstasy and cocaine). She was sentenced to two days jail and given credit for two days served, concurrent to a sentence in another case. Beaver was placed on probation for 24 months. Her driver license was suspended for 30 days and restricted for 150 days, and she was ordered to pay $1,148 in fines and costs.

Misty Doreen Beaver, 38, of 506 S. 10th St., Escanaba, pleaded guilty to a count of controlled substance — delivery/manufacture (Schedules 1, 2 and 3 except marijuana, meth, ecstasy and cocaine). She was sentenced to 12 months jail and given credit for two days served, concurrent to a sentence in another case. Beaver’s driver license was suspended for 30 days and restricted for 150 days, and she was ordered to pay $198 in fines and costs.

James William Haack, 39, of 2800 College Ave., Escanaba (care of Delta County Correctional Facility), pleaded guilty to a count of habitual offender — fourth offense notice with an underlying offense of police officer — assaulting/resisting/obstructing. He was sentenced to 12 months jail and ordered to pay $698 in fines and costs.

Michael Shae Chapman, 21, of 712 S. 10th St., Escanaba, pleaded guilty to a count of larceny in a building. His probation was revoked and he was unsuccessfully discharged. Chapman’s Holmes Youthful Trainee Act status was also revoked.
