Conservation district plans open house
WELLS — This year’s Delta Conservation District Annual Meeting and Director’s Election will be an open house instead of the typical dinner and presentation meeting due to COVID-9 precautions. The open house will be held on Aug. 11 at the Pioneer Trail Park pavilion. County residents can stop by at any time between the hours of 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Snacks will be provided.
District directors and employees will be available to discuss and answer questions on assistance and services that the Conservation District can provide to private landowners and county residents, including but not limited to: land management (forestry and wildlife), timber sales, conservation/agriculture, water quality, streambank and Great Lakes shoreline stabilization, critical dune assurance, forest health, tree and shrub planting, state and USDA project cost-share financial availability, wetland identification/delineation/permit services, soil erosion control and permits, Delta County Parks and timberlands operations/management.
