CBC looking for designated charity

MANISTIQUE — CBC is looking for eligible charities interested in becoming the third designated recipient for the annual fund drive. To qualify, a charity need not reside in Schoolcraft County, but does need to serve Schoolcraft County residents.

The charity must have a current 501c3 designation and fulfill one of the following needs: Access to Food and Clothing; Poverty; Access to Health Care or contribute to the health and welfare of the community.

Past charities include; The Beacon House, St. Vincent de Paul, Manistique Senior Center Loan Closet, Flight for Life, Medical Care Access Coalition and Good Neighbor. The selected charity is asked to participate in fundraising efforts and the CBC radio telethon on April 5.

All interested charities may submit a letter of request that includes contact information, 501c3 information, the charity’s mission, and the approximate number of Schoolcraft County residents served.
