Fencing stolen at old jail site
ESCANABA — Chain-link fencing and a chain-link gate were reported stolen from the property of the Delta County old jail site Friday, according to Escanaba Public Safety.
The stolen items from the old jail site were called in to Escanaba Public Safety Department at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 27.
According to EPSD, the fencing and gate was taken down and put in a pile, then sometime during Aug. 22 and the early hours of Aug. 27 the items were taken.
The fencing and gate were valued at $2,500.
Dirt bike take from residence
ESCANABA TOWNSHIP — A dirt bike was stolen off a property on County 426 M.5 Road in Escanaba Township recently, according to the Delta County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to a residence on County 426 M.5 Road in Escanaba Township for a stolen dirt bike at 5:27 p.m. Saturday.
The complainant said his dirt bike was up against his pool deck and visible from the road.
He advised deputies he last saw the bike after dark Friday. He also noted the bike did not run.
According to deputies, there were tire marks that lead away from the property to the road.
The dirt bike is a black and yellow off-brand 50CC valued at $500.
