Daughtry announced as Friday fair act

ESCANABA — Daughtry, a band known for their soaring vocals, emotionally-charged lyrics, and high-energy performances, will take the stage at the U.P. State Fair Grandstand on Friday, Aug. 21.
“The multi-platinum band promises a must-see concert experience for fans of modern rock,” wrote the U.P. State Fair Authority in a press release.
Fronted by acclaimed vocalist Chris Daughtry, the band rose to prominence with chart-topping hits such as “It’s Not Over,” “Home,” “No Surprise,” and “Waiting for Superman.” The artists have earned multiple number-one albums and billions of global streams.
“Daughtry has built a lasting legacy through powerful songwriting and electrifying live shows that connect with audiences of all ages,” states the Fair Authority. “Fans can expect a dynamic set featuring fan favorites alongside newer material, delivered with the intensity and passion that has made Daughtry a staple on rock radio and concert stages nationwide.”
Tickets go on sale tomorrow, April 28. General admission seating is included with paid gate admission, with limited Gold Circle ticket options available for purchase at UPStateFair.net.
