ESCANABA — The following individuals were recently sentenced in Delta County Circuit Court in unrelated cases.

Mark Alan Hart, 30, of 1253 Pebble Creek Circle, Gardendale, Ala., pleaded guilty to controlled substance – possession of meth/ecstasy – second or subsequent offense. He was sentenced to a minimum of 36 months and a maximum of 20 years in prison. Hart was ordered to pay $198 in fines and costs.

Jason Ray Ansell, 44, of 15712 Vans Harbor Road, Garden, pleaded guilty to one count license documents/plates – forgery and one count police officer – fleeing – 4th degree. He was sentenced to 12 months in jail and given credit for five days already served on the first of these counts, and was sentenced to five days in jail and given credit for five days already served on the second. Ansell’s driver’s license will be suspended for 365 days. Ansell was ordered to pay $826 in fines and costs.

Derick Allen Degraves, 28, of 1820 1st Ave. S., Escanaba, pleaded guilty to one count police officer – fleeing – 4th degree and one count motor vehicle – operation without security. He was sentenced to five months in jail and given credit for 65 days already served on the first of thee counts, and was sentenced to 65 days in jail and given credit for 65 days already served on the second. He will be placed on probation for 24 months. Degraves’ driver’s license was suspended for 365 days. Degraves was ordered to pay $1,198 in fines and costs.

Robert John Anderson, 39, of 6724 Oak Bluff 23.7 Drive, Gladstone, pleaded guilty to operating while intoxicated – third. He was sentenced to a minimum of one year and six months and a maximum of five years in prison. He was given credit for 27 days already served. Anderson was ordered to pay $698 in fines and costs.

Shannon William Amon, 36, of 14669 Hwy. 41, Rapid River, pleaded no contest to one count of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder by strangulation and one count of attempted assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder by strangulation. He was sentenced to a minimum of two years and maximum of 10 years in prison and was given credit for 132 days already served on the first of these counts, and was sentenced to 11 months in jail and given credit for 132 days already served on the second. Sentences are to be served concurrently. Amon was ordered to pay $326 in fines and costs.
