ESCANABA — Bay College Training and Development will be hosting an eight-hour Annual MSHA Refresher course of Part 46 and 48 of the Mine Act, Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). The eight-hour MSHA program covers the annual training requirements for owners and operators under 30 CFR parts 46 & 48 (companies training under Part 46 must have an approved training plan). All attendees must be “experienced miners” and have completed their 24-hour New Miner training. Training will be conducted through Michigan Technological University’s Michigan Mine Safety & Health Training grant.

Participants can choose to attend on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Bay College’s West Campus in Iron Mountain, Thursday, Feb. 14, or Friday, Feb. 15, in Escanaba. Training will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There is a fee for training with lunch included. Deadline to register is five days before each class. For more information, including registration information, contact Bay College’s office of Training and Development at 906-217-4200.
