Drive-thru flu shot clinic scheduled

ESCANABA — Public Health, Delta & Menominee Counties will be holding the annual community drive-thru flu shot clinic on Saturday, Sept. 22, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The clinic will be held in the Public Health parking lot at 2920 College Ave., Escanaba. There is a fee for a flu shot. Medicare, Medicaid, Healthy Michigan Plan, and most other insurances can be billed. The high dose flu vaccine will be available for seniors 65 years of age and older.

Public Health continues to recognize the need to offer a drive-thru service to those who have difficulty walking. Limited mobility is not required to attend the drive-thru clinic and all individuals are welcome to attend. No appointments are necessary, although people are asked to arrive during the designated time period according to the first letter of their last name:

A-D 9 a.m. – 10 a.m.

E-K 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.

L-Q 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.

R-Z 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.

Anyone unable to arrive during those scheduled times may arrive at any time between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. All times listed are Eastern Daylight Time.

For the safety of Public Health staff, please leave pets at home.
