Wells Lions Club raffle winner named

WELLS — The winner of the Wells Lions Club 52 week raffle for the week of Nov. 8 is Jake Maki of Negaunee, who won $100. This was week 15 of the raffle.

MARSP to meet Dec. 7

HARRIS — The Delta County chapter of MARSP will hold its December meeting, at noon, at the Island Resort and Casino, on Dec. 7. Lunch will be served and a Christmas program and sing-along will be featured.

Members are asked to bring a nonperishable food item, which will be delivered to the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry.

Members who are not on a calling list who would like to attend are asked to call 906-786-7748 no later than Nov. 22.

NARFE Chapter 1900 meeting Wednesday

MARQUETTE — The National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Chapter 1900 will elect 2022 officers at their next meeting. The group will also hear a presentation by the Michigan representative of Federal Blue Cross Blue Shield. The meeting will begin at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 17, and will be offered in person and on Zoom.

The in-person meeting will be in Room B of the Marquette Senior Center, 300 W. Spring Street in Marquette, on the lower level of City Hall. Spring Street is one-way from east to west.

Chapter members will receive the Zoom link by email. Members who are not on the chapter email distribution list and who want to receive the Zoom link and passcode should email upmags@gmail.com.

NARFE Chapter 1900 will not meet in December.

Any active or retired Federal employees are invited to attend NARFE meetings. Non-members are welcome as guests.

NARFE Chapter 1900 was chartered in 1983 and includes members from the Marquette, Escanaba, Rapid River, Ontonagon, L’Anse, Houghton and Hancock areas. For additional information, email upmags@gmail.com.
