Wells Lions Club raffle winner named
WELLS — The winner of the Wells Lions Club 52 week raffle for Sept. 14 is Mark Hager of Gladstone, who won $100. This was week seven of the raffle.
Historical Society of Michigan to award book
GERMFASK — Jane Kopecky’s newly-released book, “World War II Conscientious Objectors: Germfask, Michigan the Alcatraz Camp,” has been selected as the recipient of the prestigious award in the private printing category by the Historical Society of Michigan.
Awards will be presented virtually on Oct. 2 at 7 p.m.
Legion breakfasts begin Sunday in Gladstone
GLADSTONE — Sunday breakfasts at American Legion Post 71 in Gladstone will begin Sept. 20 and continue every third Sunday thereafter. Breakfasts will be held from 9 a.m. to noon.
Socially-distanced seating will be used and guests must wear a mask.
Seventh Day Adventist food pantry hours set
ESCANABA — The Community Service Center food pantry adjacent to the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Escanaba is open from 1 to 4 p.m. on Monday and Friday.
