Class of 1984 reunion planned for 2019
ESCANABA — The Escanaba class of 1984 will hold its 35th reunion Saturday, July 6, 2019, at the Bluff Country Club. Tentative plans include a golf outing in the afternoon and a get-together the same night. More details will be made available as the event approaches.

Escanaba Eagles breakfast Sunday
ESCANABA — The Escanaba Eagles 1088 will serve their 5th Sunday breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 30 at the Eagles Hall, located at 608 Ludington Street, Escanaba.
A fee will be charged. The public is welcome to attend.

ESCANABA — The next scheduled meeting for the DAV Chapter 24 will be held on Monday, Jan. 7 p.m. at the Military Order of the Purple Heart building, located at 1202 Sheridan Road, Escanaba. All disabled veterans are welcome.

Elks Auxiliary to hold meeting Thursday
ESCANABA — The Escanaba Elks Auxiliary will hold its January meeting on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019. Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m., dinner is at 7 p.m., and the meeting will follow. The meal this month is lasagna.

Brampton Fire Dept. to celebrate new year
BRAMPTON — The Brampton Volunteer Fire Department’s Annual New Years Eve Party will be at the Gladstone American Legion on Dec. 31. Doors open at 7 p.m. and dinner is at 7:30.
There is a cost at the door, which includes a buffet-style meal, pop and beer, party favors, champagne and snacks at midnight and live music with “The Bear Walkers.” The evening will also include a 50/50 drawing, raffles, bucket draws and door prizes.

Daily activities planned at the senior center
HERMANSVILLE — The Hermansville Senior Center has various activities going on every week. Everyday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., walking is available; they also have a treadmill available. Morning coffee is also available everyday.
Every Tuesday and Friday, 15 games of bingo are played, starting at 12:45 p.m.
On Wednesday afternoons, enjoy a game of cards.
Craft day is the third Monday of the month.
Foot Clinic is on the third Tuesday of the month. The nurse arrives at 9 a.m. Bring a towel. Call the center to register for the foot clinic.

Sit-n-fit exercise class
ESCANABA — Fitness chair exercises to improve strength, stretching, balance, flexibility and muscle will be held every Monday and Friday at 11a.m. at the Escanaba Senior Center. Sign in at the office. The event is free.
