American Legion to hold breakfast this Sunday
GLADSTONE — The American Legion in Gladstone will be having their all-you-can-eat breakfast on Sept. 16. They will be serving from 9 a.m. to noon. There is a cost to attend.
Craft show returns to Isabella Sept. 29
ISABELLA — The third annual fall craft show at the Isabelle Community Hall will take place on Saturday, Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The hall is located at the corner of U.S. 2 and County Rd. 495, also called “LL Road.”
Lunch will be available for purchase. Proceeds benefit the ongoing restoration projects at the historic community hall.
Local Job’s Daughters seek new members
ESCANABA — The local bethel of Job’s Daughters International, formerly the International Order of Job’s Daughters, is seeking new members.
Young women between the ages of 10 and 20 can learn things such as public speaking, event planning, organizational skills, and how to run a business meeting. While learning these skills, members are also meeting new ladies their age — not only around the state, but around the world.

Escanaba Eagles 1088 to hold breakfast
ESCANABA — The Escanaba Eagles 1088 will serve breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018 at the Eagles Hall, 608 Ludington St. Escanaba.

Program on effective communication planned
ESCANABA — The Alzheimer’s Association is hosting an educational program/talk about effective communication at the Escanaba Public Library (400 Ludington Street) from 3 to 4 p.m. on Sept. 20.
Gladstone Smear League to begin play
GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Smear League, formerly the All Saints League, will begin play on Thursday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall on the 700 block of Delta Ave.

Shane Goodchild benefit
ESCANABA — There will be a benefit held on Sept. 22 at Crazy Joe’s Pool Hall for Shane Goodchild.
The benefit will be held from 4 p.m. until closing. There will be door prizes, bucket raffles, 50/50 drawings and music. Food is included with the admission fee.
