St. Anthony’s pasty sale scheduled for Aug. 16

WELLS — St. Anthony’s Church is holding a pasty sale on Thursday, Aug. 16, and Friday, Aug. 17. Pasties are available with or without rutabaga.

ESCANABA — Amvets Post 123, 1315 North Lincoln Road, Escanaba, is featuring Cedar Creek, a country band, from 7 to 11 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 3. The pubic is welcome.

Kennel club sets next meeting for Aug. 9

ESCANABA — The Bay de Noc Kennel Club will hold its next general meeting on Thursday, Aug. 9 at 7 p.m. at the Kennel Club Building, located at 6687 N.75 Dr. Escanaba (just north of the Wells Sports Complex, next to the baseball field). The public is welcome to attend.

Delta County MARSP chapter meets Aug. 7

GLADSTONE — The Delta County Chapter of MARSP will hold its August meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 7, at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Gladstone, starting at noon. Lunch will be provided at a cost.

The program will consist of a legislative update and the annual memorial service for deceased members.

Dance in Rock Aug. 12

ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Maple Ridge Road, on Sunday, Aug. 12 from 1 to 5 p.m. Come enjoy the music of Angels & Outlaws. Kiwanis Club Holds meeting Wednesday

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone-Rapid River Kiwanis Club holds weekly meeting every Wednesday at 7 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church, 1212 Minneapolis Ave., Gladstone. Plan to attend a meeting and hear about on-going activities in support of community kids.

Daily activities for ­seniors in Hermansville

HERMANSVILLE — The Hermansville Senior Center has various activities going on every week. Every day, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., walking is available. A treadmill is also available. Morning coffee is available everyday.

Every Tuesday and Friday, 15 games of bingo are played, starting at 12:45 p.m.

On Wednesday afternoons, enjoy a game of cards.

Craft day is the third Monday of the month.

Foot Clinic is on the third Tuesday of the month. The nurse arrives at 9 a.m. Bring a towel. Call the center to register for the foot clinic.
