Audubon Club meets tonight at Bay College

ESCANABA — The Bay de Noc Audubon Club will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held in Room 961, in the Joseph ­Heirman University Center at Bay College in Escanaba. This meeting is open to anyone interested in birding. There is no charge.

Friday night dance

ESCANABA — Amvets Post 123 at 1315 North Lincoln Road Escanaba are featuring the country band Classic Country 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. this coming Friday, Feb. 16. Veterans and the public are welcome. A donation will be collected.

Breakfast buffet at Legion Post 71

GLADSTONE — American Legion Post 71 welcomes the public to an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 9 a.m. to noon on the third Sunday of each month. The breakfast will include ham, sausage, scrambled eggs, cheesy hash browns, fried potatoes, hash, biscuits and gravy, toast, coffee, orange juice, omelets to order, pancakes, French toast, and sweets. There is a fee to attend.

MADD seeks volunteers

ESCANABA — Volunteers are needed for MADD. Opportunities are available for those interested in volunteering a couple of times a year or a couple of times a week. There are a wide variety of opportunities to match interests and expertise. Some options include speaking, answering the help-line calls, organizing victim impact panels, mailing information, or just displaying MADD red ribbons.

Donations needed for annual book sale

ESCANABA — The Delta County League of Women voters is looking for donations of books, audiobooks, DVDs and music CDs to be sold at its annual book sale in August. They are also in need of large print books, which are often requested.

Funds from the annual sale are used to publish voter guides and for other voter services.

Donated materials should be no more than 10 years old and in good condition.

They can be delivered to Pat Rudden at First Bank (formerly Northern Michigan Bank), 1921 3rd Ave N , or you can call her at 280-1789 for pick up.

Line Dancing at the Escanaba Senior Center

ESCANABA — Learn dance steps while improving strength, balance, and muscle tone. Monday, Wednesday or Thursdays from 12:45 to 2 p.m. at the Escanaba Senior Center. Sign in at the office.

Daily activities for ­seniors in Hermansville

HERMANSVILLE — The Hermansville Senior Center has various activities going on every week. Everyday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., walking is available. A treadmill is also available. Morning coffee is also available everyday.

Every Tuesday and Friday, 15 games of bingo are played, starting at 12:45 p.m.

On Wednesday afternoons, enjoy a game of cards.

Craft day is the third Monday of the month.

Foot Clinic is on the third Tuesday of the month. The nurse arrives at 9 a.m. Bring a towel. Call the center to register for the foot clinic.

Christian Closet open March 7 in Escanaba

ESCANABA — Families and individuals in need will be welcome to visit the Christian Closet and select from an assortment of gently used clothing and shoes of all sizes, non-perishable food items, household supplies, and so much more. Everything will be available free of charge.

The Christian Closet is located at the Escanaba Church of Christ building located in Soo Hill at 5079 18th Road, Escanaba.

The closet will be open on the first Wednesday of every month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the next date being Wednesday, March. 7.
