ESCANABA – Don and Vicki Shirley of Escanaba celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on December 22, 2021, in Pittsburgh with their children and (virtually) with many friends and relatives via Zoom.

They were married in the First Congregational Church in Hudson, Mich., on December 22, 1961, in a “candlelight ceremony of quiet simplicity.” They honeymooned in New Mexico before returning to their studies at Michigan State University. Don and Vicki previously lived in Bark River, Okemos, and Pelkie, Mich.
