Victor M. Zar and Joan R. (Meyer) Zar

RAPID RIVER — Mr. and Mrs. Victor M. Zar, of Rapid River, celebrated 62 years of marriage on May 7, 2022, with a family dinner at the Nahma Inn.

Victor M. Zar and Joan R. (Meyer) Zar were married on May 7, 1960, at St. Thomas Church in Escanaba.

They are the parents of four children: Victoria Goodsell, of Minnesota; Jeffrey Zar, of Rapid River; Mary Zar-Gasso, of Rapid River; and Patricia Chaperon of Munising.

They are the proud grandparents to eight granddaughters and four grandsons, as well as seven great-grandsons, six great-granddaughters, and one great-great-grandson.
