GLADSTONE — Paul and Judy (Martin) Hammond of Gladstone celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple was wed June 15, 1968 at First Lutheran Church in Gladstone, and the reception was held at the Terrace Supper Club.

Original attendants at the ceremony were Maid of Honor Claudia Malmberg; bridemaids Carol Gorenchan, Mary Anderson and Janis Easey; Best Man Marvin Pouliot; and groomsmen George Shimabukuro, Pete Weingartner, and Russ Wickman.

The couple celebrated their anniversary with a small dinner party for family and friends, hosted by the couple’s children.

Paul retired from teaching at Escanaba Area Schools and enjoys traveling, casino-hopping and spending time with family. His wife, Judy, also retired from teaching at Escanaba Area Schools, and loves reading and music.

Their children are Brian (Dawn) Hammond and Michael (Shanna) Hammond, and they have two grandchildren, P.J. and Keaton.
