Gas Prices

EDITOR: Monday, July 11, drove to Green Bay. When we left Escanaba, we had a full tank. In Menominee the Holiday Station was $4.41 a gallon Krist Oil was 4.39. A mile away in Marinette, Krist Oil was $4.02, and Kwik Trip was $4.03. 40 cents a gallon less in Wisconsin. Why? It was another 30 cents or more in Escanaba. Wisconsin gas taxes are a little more than 30 cents a gallon. Michigan's gas taxes are a little over 23 cents. About 7 cents difference. I think someone is taking advantage of the U.P. EDITOR: The Iron Mountain Daily News reported on June 18th that our State Senator, Ed Mc Broom acknowledged his refusal to appear in person, before the United States Senate Select Committee investigating the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol. I, John Malnar, as Delta County commissioner, am endorsing Dave Prestin for 108th House of Representative. I have sat on the same board (Delta Menominee County Public Health) with Dave for two years.
