BR-H has nice debut, trims Jets
POWERS — The Bark River-Harris Broncos made their season-debut successful Thursday night with a 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-13) volleyball triumph over the North Central Jets.
BR-H’s Lilian Stenberg hit five service aces to go with three kills and seven digs. Makenna Lockwood and Hailee Demers also had three kills and Selena Britton had seven digs.
“Our libero from the past three years took over the floor setting this year in a 5-1 rotation,” said BR-H coach Brooke Jorasz.
“All the girls really came together as a team and kept their morale up. It was a low stat game, but a great match to start the season with.”
The Broncos, who also won the jayvee match, host Westwood Monday. The Jets host Superior Central Tuesday.
