Prison term for probation violation

ESCANABA — A Bark River woman was recently sentenced to two years to up to seven years in prison on a probation violation, according to Delta County Circuit Court.

Kristy Anne Bichler, 36, of 4306 K Road, Bark River, pleaded guilty to violating her probation with the underlying offense of attempting to deliver/manufacture a schedule 1, 2 or 3 drug except marijuana. She was given credit for serving 82 days in the county jail.

In November 2016, Bichler was sentenced to the Delta County Drug Court. She had pleaded guilty to the above seven-year drug felony in connection with an incident in Ford River Township on April 29, 2016, the same day she was arrested for operating/maintaining a meth lab, a 20-year felony, following an earlier investigation into a meth dump site in Gladstone.

She later pleaded guilty to maintaining a drug house, a two-year high court misdemeanor, in the Gladstone incident and was sentenced to six months in jail.
