Remember when?

The young boy on the porch is Arnold Nelson. John and Ida are shown next to son Alof. Both sons joined the U.S. Army serving in France during World War I. Elmer later served as a motor cop in Escanaba, Delta County Sheriff during prohibition, Commander of Co. C Michigan State Troops out of Escanaba, and, for many years, director of personnel at Birds Eye Veneer Company. Son Alof served as U.S. Army Military YMCA Director at Fort Bliss out of El Paso, Texas. Four generations related to John and Ida once lived in the home.
