Norse women split New Year's tournament games at St. Clair Community College

PORT HURON, MI – The Bay College Norse Women's Basketball Team (10-3) participated in the Skippers New Years Classic Tournament this weekend hosted by St. Clair County Community College. The Norse picked up a win over the host school by a score of 64-52 before dropping an 80-69 decision to Macomb Community College on Saturday. The Norse came out hot in the first game, hitting four of seven from three and converting 50% from the field in the opening quarter. HARRIS — The Bark River-Harris girls made things exciting in the second half on Parents’ Night before dropping a 34-30 basketball decision to the Munising Mustangs here Monday. BR-H, which failed to score in the second quarter, trailed 21-7 at halftime of this Skyline Central Conference match-up. PORT HURON, MI – The Bay College Norse Men's Basketball Team (11-2) won two hard-fought battles in the Skippers New Years Classic hosted by St. Clair Community College. In their first game they defeated the hosts by a score of 66-57. On Saturday they held of the Macomb Monarchs by a final score of 73-70.
