Bark River International Raceway to host Off-Road races this weekend
BARK RIVER – This weekend won’t be filled with your grandma’s type of auto racing.
Unless your grandma’s racing includes 4×4 trucks which generate 900 horsepower furiously flying around the clay course like a dirt bike. In that case, it’s accurate.
The 47th annual Island Casino and Resort Off-Road Rumble in the UP is slated for Aug. 12 and 13 at the Bark River International Raceway.
This weekend’s action will be part of the 2023 AMSOIL Championship Off-Road Racing series. Non in its fifth event of the season after July 29-30’s event in Lena, Wisconsin, the venture to a season championship.
In the Pro Stock SXS and Pro 4 series events, CJ Greaves sits firmly in first place in both events. The Suamico, Wisconsin resident is 10 points out of first place in the Pro Turbo SXS series, currently led by Millersport, Ohio’s Kyle Chaney. Appleton, Wisconsin’s Chad Rayford leads the pack in the Pro Spec series and De Perre, Wisconsin’s Kyle Greaves sits in first place in the Pro Lite series.
General Admission is $30 per day or $50 for the weekend. All passes will be sold at the gate race weekend. Passes purchased online are not mailed and can be picked up at the main gate race weekend. Children 9 years old and younger get free admission.

Qualifying and practice rounds run from 1:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. on Friday. The racing action begins at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday.
