MENOMINEE — Former Gladstone High School athlete Chad Brandt is the new head football coach at Menominee High School.
Brandt succeeds Joe Noha, who resigned after the 2021 season. He becomes just the fourth head coach in the past half-century at Menominee. Ken Hofer held the reins from 1966 to 2012, and Jamie Schomer filled in when Noha took a sabbatical in 2020.
Noha, who played for Hofer, was 81-27 after succeeding Hofer.
Brandt played football and basketball at Gladstone, graduating in 1991. He graduated from Western Michigan University in 1996.
Brandt, who is also boys track coach at Menominee, has been an assistant under Noha the past four years. Prior to that, he was head football coach at Stephenson High School.
