NEGAUNEE — The Manistique Emeralds lost a four-set road game to the Negaunee Miners Tuesday night 3-1 (25-12, 20-25, 25-16, 25-18) in Negaunee.

Coach Amy Nixon said that while there were some bright spots for the Emeralds, mistakes stifled their chance at a win.

“We made some good plays tonight,” Nixon said. “But (we) also made some unforced errors that prevented us from putting runs together.”

Ava Hinkson led Manistique in digs with 25, while Emma Jones led in assists with 20.

Carley Schoenow headed the kills category with eight.

Up next for the Emeralds is a home match Tuesday against the visiting Gwinn Modeltowners.
