CHAMPION — Three Gladstone Braves and two Manistique Emerald earned Mid-Peninsula Conference honors this week after conference coaches met at the Wawaonowin Country Club Wednesday in Champion.

Cam Ballard of Gladstone was named to the First Team while his Braves teammate Hunter Potier earned a spot on the Second Team. Rane Castor was named as an Honorable Mention.

Manistique’s Wyatt Gierke earned two honors, All Defensive Team and Honorable Mention. Fellow Emeralds player Sammy Warren also earned an honorable mention.

Iron Mountain’s Foster Wonders was named Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.

On the girls side, the Braves earned four spots and the Emeralds one.

Gladstone senior Megan Crow, who hit 1,000 career points this year, landed a spot on the First Team as well as defensive team.

Braves senior Alaina Trudeau earned a spot on second team as did Manistique junior Brooke St. John.

Receiving an honorable mention was Braves junior Claire Van Ginhoven.
