Esky to host youth

ESCANABA — Escanaba has been selected as the host of the Michigan Amateur Hockey Association District 8 10U tournament.

Eight teams from throughout the central and western U.P. will come to the Hannahville Ice & Turf Complex to compete for their spot to represent the U.P. in the state tournament this weekend. A 15-game, round robin style event will take place starting at noon Friday and conclude with a championship game at 3 p.m. Sunday.

The Escanaba Area Junior Hockey Association would like to invite everyone from the community to come out and support their local youth players that have worked hard all season. This event is free of charge and will have raffle baskets and concessions available.
