EDITOR: I have not written a letter-to-the-editor in a number of years, but I felt that I needed to comment about the misleading September 28th article on the popular vote ballot drive that the Democratic Party is pushing under the guise of Saul Anuzis and Mark Brewer’s rosy rendition of how good it will be for Michigan. Congress must build back better for kids

EDITOR: Today, 1 in 6 children in Michigan may face hunger in the wake of the COVID pandemic. But Congressional action during this crisis has significantly blunted hardship and hunger for many families. Soon that may change. Without action from Congress, new and enhanced policies that are helping to feed more kids than ever before will expire. EDITOR: Judging by the half page article from “The Conversation”, whoever that is, it is obvious you have an anti-Republican bias. Big time! The article was saying that the additional benefits for unemployed people was still needed. By cutting those benefits, people will suffer. The employment situation, or more like, the lack of employees, was not connected to the additional benefits. I know of one couple that got nearly $20,000 in direct cash last year.
