Last Friday night, Enhance Escanaba sponsored the Resurrection of Escanaba’s annual Festival of Choirs after a four-year absence. EDITOR: Last evening, December 7, 2023, I watched the Escanaba City Council on YouTube, vote not to send the city chicken ordinance for a second public hearing. Ms. Karen Moore made the motion to move the chicken ordinance to second public hearing and it died. All the roosters sat there on their perch and said nothing… no “Cock-A-Doodle-Do.” The chicken ordinance stated no roosters. Thank you Ms. Karen Moore the lonely hen. EDITOR: In another 20- 25 years, the youth in this country will be the ones in charge. That is a scary thought. For example; Re: the Hamas terrorist attacks, and Israeli response. If you ask the next 20 people if they know what has happened. I would guess that maybe 3 people have any idea. College campuses are wildly protesting Israel. EDITOR: Some people learned a new word. One that sounds scary. Existential - relating to existence. It is really an overused word that one would use to sound smart. If you are old enough to remember Howard Cosell, it would be one of his favorite words right now. The media loves the word. EDITOR: Ignorance is alive and well in our newspapers, TV stations, etc. Exploiting the slaughter every year of our wildlife.
