Napolitano column

EDITOR:

On January 16, The Daily Press published a opinion piece by Andrew Napolitano, where Napolitano said: I have often thought that after Abraham Lincoln, Woodrow Wilson was our worst president. … Just as the 13 colonies seceded from Great Britain … individuals can reject the government, smaller subdivisions can leave larger ones, and states can leave the feds.

Lincoln our worst president? I had to read the sentence multiple times to make sure I was reading it correctly. According to Napolitano, Lincoln was the worst because he opposed secession by the Confederate States of America.

If Napolitano gets his way, then the Michigan U.P. could declare itself a state, Canadian province or country named, Superior. Far right Michigan counties like Hillsdale and Ottawa could secede from Michigan and becomes State of Hillsdale and State of Ottawa. The coasts of California, Oregon and Washington could declare itself a state, Canadian province, Mexican state, or country named, Cascadia. The Confederacy could be reestablished.

We could divide, which of course makes us much easier for a foreign power to conquer. Putin would love this.
