New outpatient clinic in Gladstone

EDITOR:

The Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center is pleased to announce that a new outpatient clinic will be opened in Gladstone, Michigan on Sept. 7. The new 5,637 square-foot facility is designed to improve veterans’ access to outpatient services such as primary care, mental health, whole health services (acupuncture, chiropractic) and various specialty care services through telehealth technology.

It is estimated that 3,300 veterans live in Delta County, with 2,100 veterans enrolled in the VA Health Care system. The new clinic will bring VA healthcare services closer to home for our Nation’s heroes and provide them the care they deserve to live a healthy and successful life.

I want to welcome those veterans not enrolled in VA care to call 906-774-3300 extension 32810 and check their eligibility to utilize the new clinic. Enrolled veterans should watch for a welcome letter with information regarding the new clinic and numbers to call to schedule an appointment.

The clinic will be located at 2001 Minneapolis Ave. in Gladstone, Michigan. The Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center provides health care services to more than 20,000 veterans through its main medical center and eight outpatient clinics in northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
