Guest editorial was misleading
ESCANABA — A guest editorial by the Detroit News titled “Come together to stay apart” on Wednesday’s opinion page in the Daily Press contained outdated and misleading information. The editorial stated “Gov. Gretchen Whitmer stopped short of ordering Michiganians to shelter in place to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus.” The editorial was written by the Detroit news before the governor put her “Stay Home, Stay Safe” executive order in place.
The Daily Press apologizes if the Detroit News guest editorial caused any confusion.
