Taytem Jaylene Drossard-Ruthford

FARMINGTON, MN – Taytem Jaylene Drossard-Ruthford, age 23, of Farmington, MN (formerly of Gladstone), passed away Friday, June 11, 2021 at her home in MN, surrounded by family. She was born on October 6, 1997 in Marquette, the daughter of Jason Drossard and Susie Majestic. She was raised in Gladstone, MI until she was 14 years old until she moved to Farmington, MN where she graduated from Farmington High School in 2016. Her battle with cancer began when she was 6 years old, until she was eventually in remission at the age of 11. Taytem’s remission lasted 12 years until this most recent battle began for her. When Taytem was young, she was the oldest of her sisters, cousins, and friends – the mother hen of the family. She always enjoyed time with her family, days up at the family camp on the river, watching football at the nearest Buffalo Wild Wings, and spent most of her days being a stay-at-home mom to her two fur babies, Leo and Lyla. She loved quality time with those closest to her – whether it was Christmas cookie decorating with her grandparents, pranking her siblings for a good laugh, or planning her next witty joke. Through her battle, Taytem remained optimistic, selfless, and strong beyond measure – consistently standing by her infamous “Kicking Ass” in response to how she was doing. She loved to take everyone underneath her wing in some form or another. Taytem always loved to spend time out at Round Lake, telling scary stories to the kids around the campfire, and always looked for a new way to plot a new scare.

Taytem is survived by her husband, Brady Ruthford; parents, Susie & Scott Creten, and Jason Drossard; sisters, Kelsey & Hailey Creten, and Joslyn & Jaycie Drossard; grandparents, Karen Peterson, Jim Branstrom, Cherie and Jerry Drossard, Tom and Sue Creten, and Anthony Majestic; aunts & uncles, Julie and Steve DeLaire, Cassie and Josh Lofquist, Kelly and Chris Coleman, and Anthony Graham; and in-laws, Shawn and Carianna Ruthford and family & Kathleen Baker (Kip Mayer) and family.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Sue and Owen Peterson, and Rose Pelequin; cousins, Chase Lofquist, and Sam Peterson; and uncles, Tim Peterson, and DJ Feathers.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Gladstone.
