Helen Jean Taylor (Frossard)

Helen was born in Trenary on Oct. 26, 1938, daughter of Joseph and Olivine (LeBresch) Frossard. She was raised in Schaffer.

On July 9, 1955, Helen married Harold J. Taylor in Schaffer. Together they celebrated 63 years of marriage. Their only child, Rick, was born on Feb. 24, 1956.

Helen worked at numerous activities ranging from waitress to retail store clerk.

Helen loved to fish with her husband and work in her garden. She was a wonderful cook despite her protests. She will be greatly missed.

Helen is survived by her son, Rick Taylor; daughter-in-law, Karen Boucher; sisters, Edna Frossard and Rose Kane of Escanaba; sisters-in-law, Vivian Frossard of Escanaba, Wanda Frossard of Riverland, and Donna Frossard of Bark River, Germaine Taylor of Flat Rock, Jacqueline (Clarence) Seymour of Escanaba; brothers-in-law, Earl Juneau of Schaffer and Russell (Rita) Taylor of Escanaba, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; brothers, Joseph, Victor, and James “Jimmy”; sisters, Theresa Carlson and Joyce Juneau; brothers-in-law, Robert Kane, Robert Carlson and Dwaine “Dick” Taylor.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Feb. 15 from 10 a.m. to noon at Crawford Funeral Home, 302 South 13th St. Escanaba. The funeral service will begin at noon with Rev. Fran DeGroot officiating.

Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Schaffer.
