June (Niceswander) Peterson

In her early years she worked as a riveter during the war and though the years she waitress and took care of the elderly.

She loved people, when you met her you knew you just made a new friend.

She married Bernard Niceswander and raised three children. She later married Rodney (Pete) Peterson. They were married 33 years before his death in 2006.

She enjoyed eating out and going to the casino in hopes of winning the big one! She was a good cook and was well known for her delicious recipes.

She was a special lady, her smile, her humor and her warmth radiated; she will be missed. She will always be in our hearts.

She is survived by daughters, Sandy (Randy) Kell, Julie Connelly (fiance Gary Garrison); grandchildren, Amy (Steve) Kinsler, Brian Kell, Amanda (David) Barks, Jamie Lindsey and Ben Lindsey; great-grandchildren, Kelly Kinsler, Brandy Kinsler, Danica (Craig) Beery, Jaguar Landrum, Hunter Barks, Keegan Lindsey, Layla Lindsey and Marley Lindsey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bernie Niceswander; husband, Rodney (Pete) Peterson, and three sisters, Edith, Rachel and Eleanor.

A celebration of June’s life will be held at the convenience of her family.
