Agnes M. Pirlot
POWERS — Agnes M. Pirlot, 91, of Powers, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at Cedar Hill Assisted Living in Bark River with family by her side. She was born on Oct. 22, 1927, in Wilson, daughter of the late Arthur and Anna (Groleau) Harris. In 1946, she married the late Gerald Pirlot at St. Francis Xavier Church in Spalding.
Agnes was the last surviving member of the Harris family. She and her husband farmed throughout her adult life and later worked at Les Brown Chair Factory.
She is survived by her four children, Catherine (Louis) Mentzer, Doris Forsberg, Donald (Elaine) Pirlot and Robert (Paula) Pirlot; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five brothers: infant brother Omar, Alphge, David, Joseph and Stanley; four sisters, Sr. Imara, Lillian, Ida and Eva; and a son-in-law, David Forsberg.
Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to noon CST on Monday, June 17, at St. John Neumann Church in Spalding with St. Anne’s Rosary being recited at 11:30 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon CST on Monday at church with Fr. Jacek Wtyklo officiating. Burial will follow Mass in the Spalding Township Cemetery. A luncheon will be held in the church parish hall.
