IRON RIVER — The Michigan State Police are still investigating a single vehicle crash in Iron River Township that killed a 68-year-old Michigan resident.

At approximately 5:10 p.m. Wednesday, troopers from the Iron Mountain Post responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Gibbs City Road. The driver of the vehicle was treated at the scene by first responders, however, he succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced dead.

Troopers were assisted by the Iron River Police Department, West Iron County Fire Department, Iron County Search and Rescue, and Aspirus Ambulance.
