Information sought in Family Dollar armed robbery

SPALDING — The Menominee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information about an armed robbery that took place Wednesday in Spaulding.

At approximately 8:45 p.m. Central, an unidentified man entered the Family Dollar Store in Spalding and demanded money and cigarettes. The man was dressed in all black and wearing pink women’s sunglasses. He was carrying a black drawstring back pack and wore gloves.

The man left on foot. He left the store with the money from the cash register and 30 cartons of cigarettes. The majority of the cigarettes were Marlboro Red 100s, Newport Reds and Newport menthol.

Law enforcement believes the suspect may be a detoxing drug addict.
