On Friday and Saturday, October 22 and 23, Players de Noc will be performing a one-of-a-kind, locally written event, just in time for Halloween and the full moon. Playing Dead: A Cemetery Walk with Players de Noc will take place at Lakeview Cemetery. Director Nicole Rossell has amassed a cast of ghosts portraying some of Escanaba’s most famous former residents. Local writers Katherine DeLuc, Andrew Jones and Lori Rose spent weeks researching around a dozen spirits and their histories. Former Lieutenant-Governor James Hugh MacDonald and Daily Press founder John Norman are just two of the spirits telling their stories. A cast of hosts will guide groups through the walk, which lasts about an hour. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Chamber of Commerce or the Bonifas Arts Center, or online at playersdenoc.org. Shows run every 15 minutes starting at 7 p.m. each night with the final showing beginning at 8:15 p.m. Additional information can be found on Players website or FaceBook page. Shown above is Kelly Pepin as Former Lieutenant-Governor James Hugh MacDonald.
