Escanaba Homecoming to have different look
ESCANABA — The Escanaba Junior/Senior High School is busy preparing for its upcoming 2021 Homecoming activities. The events will look a little different this year.
The Student Council decided to try something new this year. The student leadership group has decided to have a community pep rally at Ludington Park in place of our previous floats and parade. The marching band, color guard, and cheerleaders will be showcased, as well as, an introduction to the 2021 Homecoming Court. Games, crafts, and food vendors will be available at the Karas Band Shell in Ludington Park for the event.
High school students will be competing in several events, such as tug-of-war, co-ed volleyball tournament, and other fun team races. The community pep rally will take place on Thursday, September 23 from 4 to 6 p.m. Students and staff are inviting the public to come wearing their orange and black in support of all of the students.
