MORAN TOWNSHIP — The body of a woman who was reported missing from Southfield, Mich. late last month has been found in Mackinac County.

Channelle Dennard’s 2011 Chevrolet Equinox was found in Mackinac County on U.S. 2 near Association Road on Oct. 28. Dennard, who was 31, had made a statement she was in fear of harming herself or others the previous day, and an endangered missing advisory was issued by the Michigan State Police on Oct. 29.

After multiple aerial, water, and ground searches, Dannard’s body was found deceased in Moran Township Friday. No foul play is suspected.

Assisting agencies include United States Coast Guard, Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Mackinac County Sheriff’s Office, Mackinac County 911 Coordinator and EMD Director, United States Border Patrol, Mackinac County E.M.S., Mackinac County Medical Examiner, and St. Ignace Fire Department.
