COVID-19 case numbers, deaths rise in Delta County

ESCANABA — The Upper Peninsula had 1,833 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 303 probable cases and 26 deaths linked to the disease as of Thursday, according to state officials.

Delta County had a total of 300 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 47 probable cases and seven deaths; Menominee County had 313 confirmed cases, 45 probable cases and one death; and Schoolcraft County had 22 confirmed cases and two probable cases.

Elsewhere in the peninsula, Alger County had 16 confirmed cases and one probable case; Baraga County had 17 confirmed cases and eight probable cases; Chippewa County had 50 confirmed cases and 27 probable cases; Dickinson County had 120 confirmed cases, three probable case and two deaths; Gogebic County had 144 confirmed cases, 12 probable cases and one death; Houghton County had 336 confirmed cases, 79 probable cases and two deaths; Iron County had 121 confirmed cases, four probable cases and one death; Keweenaw County had seven confirmed cases and one probable case; Luce County had 12 confirmed cases and one probable case; Mackinac County had 41 confirmed cases and 16 probable cases; Marquette County had 293 confirmed cases, 56 probable cases and 12 deaths; and Ontonagon County had 41 confirmed cases and one probable cases.
