Delta County has 17 COVID-19 cases

ESCANABA — Delta County has reported that it had 17 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and two deaths related to coronavirus.

Public Health, Delta and Menominee Counties is aware of 575 specimens from Delta County that had been submitted for coronavirus testing. Seventeen of these specimens tested positive for COVID-19 (including two deaths and 13 recoveries), 509 tested negative, specimens had been submitted from four probable patients, and test results for the remaining 45 specimens were pending.

Test results for specimens from Delta County are being processed continually. Because of this, case numbers could change at any time

The Upper Peninsula had 108 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 15 deaths caused by the virus..

Schoolcraft County had four confirmed cases and Menominee County had eight confirmed cases.

Elsewhere in the peninsula, Baraga County had one confirmed case, Chippewa County had two cases, Dickinson County had five cases and two deaths, Gogebic County had five cases and one death, Houghton County had three cases, Luce County had three cases, Mackinac County had six cases and Marquette County had 54 cases and 10 deaths.

Across the state, 55,104 cases of COVID-19 had been confirmed as of Tuesday and 5,266 deaths had been reported.
