About 50 people spent part of their Leap Day participating in Delta County’s Walk for Warmth, held on Ludington Street in Escanaba Saturday morning. The event was part of a Menominee-Delta-Schoolcraft Community Action Agency fundraising campaign that helps low-income families pay their heating bills. A walk was also held in Manistique Saturday morning in Menominee County, a “Hoops for Heat” basketball game has been scheduled for Saturday, April 18 in Powers.
