Demolition work on the former Wickert Floral building on Ludington Street in Escanaba started earlier this week. Jeff Walechka, of contractor Walechka Incorporated, said the work is expected to take at least a few months to complete. The building suffered a collapsed roof during the winter of 2018-2019. The business has since relocated to the Delta Plaza mall.
