Candy Cane Food Drive slated in Gladstone
GLADSTONE — Gladstone residents will have an opportunity to participate as festive first responders collect food for the needy.
The annual Gladstone Christmas Candy Cane Food Drive will occur Sunday, Dec. 22, from 5 to 8 p.m.
The Gladstone Volunteer Fire Department, Gladstone Public Safety Department, Escanaba Township Volunteer Fire Department, and their friends and families will be handing out candy canes in exchange for non-perishable food items.
All of the nonperishable food items go to the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry in Gladstone.
Residents are asked to have their porch lights on so volunteers know someone is home and has items to donate.
