Cops: Man fired gun at road commission site
STEPHENSON TOWNSHIP — A Powers man was arrested for making terroristic threats and aggravated stalking Tuesday.
Menominee County Sheriff’s Office arrested Raymond Lee Betters, 68, of Powers, for making terroristic threats and aggravated stalking, both felony charges.
The charges stem from a weapon fired at the Stephenson Road Commission Building that occurred in February 2016 and April 2018.
Betters is a former employee of the Menominee County Road Commission.
Betters is lodged in the Menominee County Jail and held on a $50,000 cash bond.
Menominee County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the forensic scientists of the Marquette branch of the Michigan State Police Crime Laboratory.
