Trails group gets donation from H&H

Hereford & Hops Steakhouse & Brew Pub (H&H) recently prepared a special batch of beer using spruce tops for flavoring. The beer, called Les Sentiers (French for to the Trail), a Kolsch style ale sold out. Partial proceeds, $498, were donated to Delta County Non-Motorized Trails (DCNT), a group which promotes, builds and maintains trails locally. Shown above at the check passing, are Mandy King, H&H general manager, Mike Sattam, H&H brewer, Hal Martin, DCNT vice president and Craig Bengry, a DCNT founder who conceived the idea and gathered the spruce from North Woods Place and the Escanaba Country Club.
